Presently, the use of locomotives has become more popular. Many people have owned private cars. Improved standards due to increment in people’s income and the general well-being, has boosted the ability to own locomotives hence pollution and congestion on the roads. The state has then had concerns on checking the issue (Gray .L & Graham .I 2012).
Alternative transport forms like solar powered cars, hybrid cars and cycling, can help minimize the disadvantage of privately owned means. Encouragement to use public means helps reduce the congestion and fumes emitted to the surrounding. By enforcing legislations on the vehicle numbers, problems associated can be reduced as regarded by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (2010).
Availing to short areas, people should cycle or walk. Enabling them burn body fats and become healthier. Besides losing excess weight, the mind becomes active and healthier thus can be of great biological value than moving by vehicle to the required destination. Equally, using public vehicles can reduce the pollutants emitted if everyone used his car (Gray .L & Graham .I 2012).
New state laws checking the number of cars imported or the minimum number that a family owns if put in place the drawbacks can reduce considerably. By taxing the production or acquisition of private cars and increasing fuel prices thereby discouraging private ownership (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. 2010).
Though the states are facing many challenges, a proper transport system needs to be in place to ensure frequent and flexible delivery of goods and services to ease pollution reduction and congestion for a health and safe economic growth. All members need to observe the established rules in order to have a controlled transportation system.
